Eighth Day. 23 July 2011

by Joel Emmanuel

This day was a busy day but full of fun. Left the hotel with dad at about 8am to fetch Tito Ed at the airport. After fetching Tito Ed, we went back to the hotel to bring his things. It was nice seeing Tito Ed again, though I couldn’t remember him before because I was still a kid back then in Malaysia. Tito Ed’s kindness is highly unbelievable. I just can’t explain through words how kind he is. Even though being a family friend, I consider him as my real uncle.

Anyway, this day was also a food trip day. Hahaha. We (Dad, Mom, Ate Jopa, Tito Ed) had a buffet lunch at Kamayan, Glorieta — EAT ALL YOU CAN. Hahaha. I stuffed myself that time since I was really famished. But I am glad that discipline’s still with me. I only ate about four tablespoons of rice, but I had all of my favorite ulams — but no chicken at all since I still have my itching allergies with me. Then after taking a walk, we had a meryenda/coffee break at Starbucks. As usual, I ordered my fave: Java Chip (Oh, how I miss the most coffeeholic person that I know). After finishing my drink, we (Ate Jopa, Danize, Dana) decided to play at Timezone. Hahaha. It was fun. The mini-bowling, the Deal or No Deal, the basketball, and the bonding was fun. I missed that kind of bonding with my pamangkins. And I miss that kind of bonding with Anne. I hope I can do it again with her in the future or whenever we’re available. After the Glorieta bonding, we had dinner at Max’s Restaurant, MOA with the rest of the family.

It was really fun bonding with my family. I hope next time, we’re all complete including Anne. The MANALO Family misses her a lot.
